Snapshots

Random fun from our first full week of summer break!

Looking for crabs under the boardwalk at the marina.

Rock climbing (Payton eventually clawed her way to the top, too. She refuses to be outdone by her big brother.)

Pigtails!

Rolling down the freshly mowed hill at the park, which was hysterical to watch. Payton made the rolling motions to "The Wheels on the Bus" every time he went down and they both dissolved into fits of giggles when Jake got up covered in grass clippings.

Sweet Summertime

Summer officially comes our way in two days. I can't wait to spend the next two months with these two. I bet we can even convince Jason to stay home every now and then. YES!

Swing Batter, Batter

T-ball is over for the year (and he got to play catcher for his last game, which is his favorite position). I think Jake may have withdrawals. He's into it. Really into it. And not just t-ball. Anything baseball. He loves to watch the Mariners, loves to play catch, practice hitting, sliding, grounders, anything. He wears his glove around the house at night. And then there's the trophy. It's front and center on his desk. He's already talking about next year. But if time goes anywhere near as fast as this year did, we'll be back into the swing of things in no time.

Playing Hooky

Payton hadn't been feeling well a few weeks back, so Jason stayed home an extra day to make sure she felt better. I got a bit suspicious when he sent me these pictures, though. I'm not sure if it was Payton playing hooky, or Jason!
